PPP repayment questions should be separated from assumptions about forgiveness
PPP questions can involve a lender, a forgiveness history, repayment terms, and later communications about a balance. A clear review begins with the actual loan and forgiveness records—not a generic statement about the program.
Keep the note, forgiveness application materials, lender communications, and any balance or default notice together before asking for individualized guidance.
Forgiveness, repayment, and default are not interchangeable
A borrower may have questions about whether forgiveness was requested, granted, denied, partial, or still reflected in lender records. Those questions should be distinguished from a separate question about a demanded balance or default notice.
A lender communication should be preserved in full
Keep the complete notice and compare it to the note, repayment schedule, and forgiveness correspondence. The date, stated balance, requested action, and source of the communication can all be relevant to the next question.
A program label does not decide a particular borrower’s path
This site does not determine whether a balance is correct, whether a forgiveness decision can be challenged, or whether an individual has a particular obligation. Those are account-specific legal and factual questions.
